EBC Bluestuff Bed-in Procedure:
EBC Bluestuff pads are heat-scorched to reduce bedding time, but it's still crucial to exercise caution, especially on highways or when paired with partially worn rotors. Gently use the brakes for the first 200 miles, progressively increasing braking force in a SAFE ROAD ENVIRONMENT until you're fully confident in their stopping power across all traffic conditions

  • Perform the Street Pre Bed Fade 1 routine as above (either on the road or at the track if installed there ) followed by Fade 2 at the race track.
  • The latest Bluestuff DM3362 and Low Mu versions should only take Fade 2 and a 15 minute cooling time to be ready to race.
  • Fade 3 should not be necessary unless poor disc condition has prevented proper seating but if you have time DO perform Fade 3.

Remember, it’s down to you and your bedding-in process. If you do feel brake fade a couple of times and even smell the brakes, this is totally normal and once achieved and the brakes are allowed to cool, they will have improved a lot.
