A manual boost controller is a fairly simple install from turbo to wastegate and allows you to set the boost and leave it alone! If you want to be able to make adjustments on the fly, the electronic boost controllers can adjust vis RPM or other parameters, but are more complex. If you're not sure what to get, we run the Hallman Pro (High Boost) in almost all our Evo builds from stock to 60+ PSI drag cars.
