What exactly is a Diamond Claw Surface Lock? As the saying goes, where there’s a problem, there’s a solution—and sometimes, it takes a technological leap to solve it. One major issue with high-powered cars is the risk of the flywheel coming loose. Flywheels can loosen for various reasons, but when this happens, it often leads to catastrophic crankshaft damage. Once a loose flywheel welds itself to the crankshaft, the crank is typically irreparable, resulting in a costly fix.

Diamond Claw locks are made with precision-sized CBN (diamond) particles plated onto a proprietary fatigue-resistant steel base. These particles, spaced uniformly and plated to a consistent thickness, ensure complete contact with the entire surface. With a hardness of 10,000 Vickers and a plated matrix hardness of 950 Vickers, these locks can penetrate surfaces hardened to 65 HRC, combining extreme toughness and durability.
