The stock BMW S55 engine has two Mitsubishi TF035 single-scroll turbochargers boosting up to 19 psi with electrical wastegate valves activated by engine management. This provides more precise boost control, faster adjustment and greater closing force than the previous pneumatic wastegate valve design. The stock turbos are situated "front" and "rear" and are compatible with all S55 M2C, M3 and M4.
