F8X M2/M3/M4 Suspension Fitments:
The M2, M3 and M4 will all be different when it comes to lowering springs and coilover kits, so please read all fitments very carefully.

F8X M2/M3/M4 Brake Fitment Notes:
The M2/M3/M4 models came with carbon ceramic brake rotors or cast iron rotors. The pad compounds are different for iron and carbon ceramic brakes (CCB), so please keep that in mind when ordering pads.

The carbon ceramic rotors are absolutely awesome and produce little to no brake dust, but they are very costly to maintain. Many owners will swap the ceramic rotors out to an iron rotor and it's no more difficult than a standard brake job!

If you have the gold OEM calipers on your F8X, you can use the M2 Competition big iron rotors (which came factory with the M2C red/silver calipers) and just swap out pads. Girodisc also makes iron rotors to fit the gold/red/silver calipers.

The standard blue calipers have 4 pistons in the front and 2 in the rear. The gold, red and silver are 6 front and 4 rear. The carbon ceramic and "big" M2C iron rotors are 400x38mm in front and 380x28 back. The standard iron rotors are 380x30 front and 370x24 in the back.

BMW recommends changing the brake fluid every 2 years. Typically 3 12oz bottles will be enough. STM keeps OEM and performance fluids in stock - give us a call to schedule service!
