The Driveshaft Shop aluminum driveshaft fits the 6-speed 2004-2007 Subaru STi models with R180 rear diff. This one piece 3" aluminum 6061-T6 driveshaft replaces the factory 2 piece shaft and weighs only 18 pounds. Rated to 650 HP and 155 MPH.

Vehicle Fitment:
2004-2007 Subaru STi
* Fits with R180 Rear Differential.
* Diff flange mounting holes must be drilled to accept 10mm bolts (included).

More Info:
Driveshaft Shop 1-piece driveshaft a complete 6061-T6 3" aluminum shaft that is approximately half the weight of the factory 2-piece driveshaft. The 1-piece aluminum shaft features larger, replaceable and greaseable u-joints and can handle about 650WHP and 155 MPH.

By removing the factory 2-piece shaft and installing a single shaft the car will feel more responsive due to the lighter weight of the shaft and also the fact that the hanger bearing is not moving up and down during acceleration.

Safety Notes:
This driveshaft is rated to 650 WHP and a top speed of 155 MPH.

Install Notes:
This aluminum driveshaft is 3" diameter and your vehicle may require some minor modifications to the driveshaft tunnel in order to ensure proper fitment. Make sure there is at least 3/4" clearance around the driveshaft before use, and that the differential bushings are not worn as this can cause damage to the driveshaft. Damage caused by improper fitment will not be covered under warranty.

IMPORTANT NOTES FROM DSS:
"ATTENTION 2003-2007 Subaru WRX and STI owners.
We have had some warranty issues regarding damaged driveshafts (aluminum and carbon fiber). After some research on our part, we found a common denominator that the driveshafts were damaged 11-12 inches from the differential. The culprit it turns out is either subframe, differential, or transmission mounts/bushings failing and allowing movement of various drivetrain parts resulting in the driveshaft striking the rear brace. As this is not an issue with Driveshaft Shop parts but a maintenance/age issue, we will not be offering warranty for this issue any longer. Regardless if you have one of our driveshafts or not please be aware of this issue for the health of your vehicle and its parts.
