What's New? What's Happening?

We have a lot of exciting updates at the shop, so to keep you guys in the loop, we have decided to do a monthly email campaign and add a blog tab to our website. We will be highlighting new shop projects, industry news and random day to day things around STM. We realize we've been fairly quiet for the last few years but hopefully this endeavor will help amp things up moving forward!
By now most of you know that we have moved. I say that like it just happened, because it feels like we're still going! The amount of construction over the last few years to make our dreams a reality has been nothing short of pure insanity. Our last building in Spencerport was a total of 7,200 square feet, our new one in Webster is 45,000! The activities we can do now are limitless - literally, we could do karate with 200 people in here if we wanted to!
With that said, we had to fill this place up. Installing a new in-house CNC machine shop has been amazing! We now have the ability to not only make new parts quickly, but redesign old ones in the matter of hours instead of months. Austin has done an awesome job taking on the challenge and is learning new things daily helping us advance the program swiftly. Parts such as billet intake manifolds probably aren't far off.
This is the first month bringing Chris Carbee back to the team as our tuner. Chris worked with us years ago and has continued tuning the whole time. He offers the most up to date knowledge in software and has a great resume! He is very capable on multiple platforms and holds records all around the industry. He's not only able to use the keyboard, but he actually races and builds cars too! Together, we have already started working on new projects and are excited to see what the future brings!
To kick things off on the tuning side, COBB has just released their flex fuel kits for the 22+ WRX and we're pretty excited about it. We've decided to jump right into it with Tim Adams (our head welder's) car for testing and the results are outstanding! With increases on a fairly stock car well into the triple digits, it definitely sparked our interest and you can expect a whole slew of new parts to come from us for that platform shortly! We're little late to the party but there's plenty of these cars out there and I don't see them cutting production anytime soon. It should be a great market to tap into.
Anyways, if you've made it this far we appreciate you for following us through our latest shop update. Feel free to give us a call any time for parts, questions, and more.

    Hi @Phillip!

Great question. We actually recommend finding a reputable local powder coating shop in your area. This way, you’ll be able to see the available finishes in person, since colors can look quite different online versus real life. Working directly with a local shop also gives you more control over the final look and ensures the best results for your specific setup. Thanks for checking out the blog and let us know if you have any other questions!
