When the VB WRX first hit the market, like all tuner shops around the world we jumped right in and started developing new products to help push the limits. With promising results being posted everywhere we knew this thing had a bunch of potential.
First on our drawing board was, and always is, light weight parts. Believe it or not, they help in every performance aspect and also help reduce stress on driveline parts. Knowing everyone was going to head straight for the drag strip to set and chase records we decided to jump in and build our light weight drag brake kits. These can be found on the fastest VB WRX out there built and Tuned by TPG Tuning out of PA. Those guys are long time friends of ours and have been a great asset to the import racing community.
Moving on to the exhaust system was a no brainer. When it comes to that, a few things that set us apart from just about every company out there are the materials we use and the tools we have. Our Pines CNC Mandrel Bender helps us make our exhausts with less and more direct bends allowing for kits that don't look pieced together or have unnecessary welds. Also, we use .049" wall stainless tubes when most other companies use .065". Why does that matter? Well, it's a massive weight reduction! Our kits are typically 20% lighter than the competitors and will still outlast the life of your car! They also come with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects!
And that's kind of where we had to take a break. As mentioned in previous posts, we moved into our new 60,000 square foot facility and it came with a ton of growing pains. From construction and the addition of new tool setups, it took a lot of production time out of our days. The good news is we are back at it!
Our new 2024 WRX was purchased a few weeks ago and drove right from the dealership straight onto the dyno! Listed below is the base graph and we will be updating the STM Blog on our site with new parts added and test results as they happen.
