STM 3.5" Aluminum SD Intake (No MAF) for Evo 8/9
The STM 3.5" aluminum intake pipe was designed specifically for Evo 8/9 bolt-on FP Turbos such as the Red, Black, Zero and Zephyr and works great with any stock or stock-placement turbo. Available in your choice of finish with a matching coupler for your turbo.
Features a 3.5" aluminum intake pipe, 9" long K&N filter and a high-quality silicone coupler.
Vehicle Fitment:
2003-2006 Evolution VIII IX
• Designed for Bolt-On Turbos
• For Speed Density Only
• Does not work with the MAF
• Fits both ACD and NON-ACD models.
• Can be used with the STM Sealed Catch Can (with -10AN Bung)
Speed Density:
This intake pipe does not work with the MAF, and is used for speed density only.
ACD:
The STM 3.5" Intake Pipe will fit both Evo 8 and 9 and will clear the ACD reservoir.
What's the Bung For?
Adding the -10AN bung on the underside of the pipe is allows you to use the STM Sealed Catch Can which vents from the can to the intake pipe.
Install Notes:
If you're not using a catch can, we would suggest to vent your crankcase via the valve cover. This is the K&N Breather Filter you'll need: 62-2470

Upon first getting it, I couldn't get it to fit, it would hit the lower radiator pipe, or if that wasn't in the way, then the intake would hit the intercooler pipe. Well, after some thinking, I ordered a 45 degree coupler to put on the turbo, and it works basically perfectly, it's probably the biggest filter you could fit in a car that still has the acd pump in the stock location. Plus the turbo flutter sounds cool out of it
Item fits just as described and is well made. Photos show intake with STM’s upper intercooler pipe and FP turbo. For those wanting a K&N pre-filter cover for the included air filter, the part number that fits correctly is RE-0810PK.
I was already expected awesome quality when I ordered, but honestly, I was totally shocked at how great this intake looks on my car. I got the powder coated black treatment, and it looks sick! Everyone that’s seen it loves it. Thanks y’all!
