AWE Touring Edition cat-back exhaust for the Toyota GR Corolla delivers a deep, powerful exhaust tone that transforms the car's sound from idle to full throttle. Made from 3" T304L stainless steel, it uses AWE’s patented 180 Technology® to eliminate cabin drone while maintaining an aggressive, full-bodied exhaust note. The single 3" inlet transitions to a triple 2.5" design for optimal flow, featuring bespoke straight-through bullet resonators for a bold tone without rasp. The system is finished with distinctive diamond-black tips, and after thorough testing, AWE opted not to include factory valves, as they found them unnecessary due to their exhaust design.

What is AWE's 180 Technology?
The 180 Technology® resonators are designed without packing material to maintain a consistent tone over time and feature a straight-through design for maximum flow. Their main function is to eliminate drone-inducing frequencies while preserving a free-flowing exhaust note and performance similar to a straight-pipe system.

The Touring Edition exhaust unleashes the raw power of the 1.6L engine while eliminating specific frequencies that cause cabin discomfort (those which often result in noticeable drone at highway speeds).

Single 3" to Triple 2.5" Design:
The Touring Edition exhaust has a 3" mid-pipe inlet to easily accommodate future modifications without affecting upstream components. Its stamped stainless steel merge smoothly transitions from a single 3" pipe to triple 2.5" outlets, ensuring efficient flow through each tip. Each exhaust features a mix of bespoke straight-through bullet-style resonators in the rear to provide an aggressive tone while parenting rasp.

Tailored Tips:
One bespoke 4.5" x 8" oval double-walled, slash-cut tip in the center flanked by two 5” double-walled, slash-cut tips in diamond black. These are the best-looking aftermarket tips available for the GRC.

Conversion Kits:
AWE allows for easy conversion between Track and Touring Editions, letting you adjust the interior sound level as desired. Both versions are aggressive, but the difference lies in the fine line of intense frequencies produced by the 1.6L at highway speeds.

Nope, The Exhaust is Not Valved:
During R&D, AWE thoroughly evaluated the factory valve and its behavior across various driving conditions to understand its function. The valve cannot be controlled by the driver—meaning no matter the driving mode, buttons, or settings, it doesn't open or close from within the cabin. It operates based on throttle input, only opening when a specific threshold set by the ECU is reached, which happens at low revs. Its primary role is to manage backpressure, with the factory exhaust prioritizing flow to the larger center outlet. The rear muffler, baffled without packing material, directs flow to the left and right exits only during light throttle cruising.

After this analysis, and since our design naturally resolves backpressure issues, adding a valve was unnecessary. The kit includes a valve motor mount for secure relocation.
