Mitsubishi OEM Timing Chain Guide (MN183893)
Genuine OEM Mitsubishi timing belt guide. This part number was special ordered for an Evo X by request, but it is not a factory replacement part. Compared to the solid black guide 1141A004, this version has a white outer guide which is a bit thicker (see photos). The black base is identical.
Many other places list this to fit an Evo X, but that is not confirmed by Mitsubishi. We can only confirm non turbo Lancer and some Galant, Delica and Outlander models. Please do additional research if you are going to use this guide in an Evo X. To be honest, we are not sure of the end goal by using this version. Maybe the white material is stronger or smoother? Maybe the thickness affects timing tension? Maybe it was just a mis-typed part number and other shops copied it and followed suit? This version is more expensive than the black one and there are no supersessions or recalls on either part number.
