FX400 Higher Holding Capacity - RACE/STREET 03240-HDC6-DLX (6-Puck)
Higher Holding Capacity - RACE/STREET 03240-HDCL-DLX (8-Puck)
• For spirited street use, drag racing and road racing
• Ceramic Lined 6-Puck or 8-Puck Disc

This extreme-duty street and racing clutch system is available in both 6-puck and 8-puck ceramic configurations, with the 6-puck offering a more aggressive setup and the 8-puck being slightly less aggressive. Its sprung hub design provides moderate dampening for high-torque applications, making it more street-friendly than rigid designs, while offering long life, excellent holding capacity, and rapid heat dissipation.

What is the Difference Between a 6-Puck and 8-Puck?
The FX400 clutch is designed for high-powered setups, offering two configurations. The 6-puck ceramic paddle design provides rapid engagement but may cause clutch chatter, making it better suited for track use. The 8-puck ceramic full-face disc, with a marcel cushion, also offers quick engagement but minimizes chatter, making it more manageable for street driving.

Warning: Due to the solid friction rivet design, the FX400 disc engages very quickly and may chatter slightly in first and reverse. To help alleviate this problem, only premium ceramic friction material is used.

Notes:

  • It is highly recommended to eliminate the factory clutch delay valve. Not only will removing this piece improve the cars ability to shift quicker more efficiently, it will also help improve the lifespan of your new clutch.
  • Clutch Masters did away with the factory self-adjusting cover, a little over 10lbs of weight reduction in the entire assembly, and went from an 8.5" clutch disc to a 9.5" disc for increased disc surface area while retaining factory fitment.
  • Ceramic based clutch disc are not intended to increase the life expectancy of a clutch but rather to increase the holding capacity and improve the durability of the clutch. Using a ceramic based material for easy street driving may reduce the life of the clutch kit due to harsh engagement and higher tendency to slip the clutch kit. Ceramic disc are never recommended for stock or near stock vehicle applications.
  • Organic/ Kevlar/ Fiber-Tough Clutch kits are expected and tend to have a higher life expectancy than OEM, however not guaranteed.
  • Due to this FX Series twindisc being in high demand, please call to confirm availability prior to purchase.
