The Buschur Racing Bolt-In Driveshaft Safety Loop for the Evo 8/9 is made of chrome moly and bolts into existing holes in the car with the side brackets leaving room to allow most 3" exhausts to pass through

This is required by IHRA and NHRA at different levels of competition and if you are running slicks... and it's just a damn good idea to have one. If the front of the u-joint, yoke or driveshaft itself breaks the driveshaft can dig into the pavement or come through the floor and take your legs out. This is meant to prevent that from happening.
