Boost Logic R35 GTR Firewall Shields (PTP R35 Firewall Shield)

Boost Logic R35 GTR firewall shields are designed to protect the occupant compartment from excessive engine heat while also providing sound-dampening benefits. In addition to safeguarding the cabin, the shields also help protect critical components like the brake master cylinder and ABS pump from overheating, which could otherwise lead to brake fade.

The front layer of the firewall shield is made from pulverized volcanic lava rock, rated for 1800°F of direct heat and 2500°F of radiant heat. This material is formed into fabric and woven into a tight mesh. The shield’s interior is insulated with high-temperature calcium magnesium silicate wool (rated for 1832°F continuous heat and 2300°F peak), and is overlaid with high-temperature silicone fiberglass for added durability and protection.
