Most filters feature a bypass that activates when the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet exceeds 10 psi, allowing unfiltered oil to flow into the engine—something you want to avoid.

WIX Racing filters are specifically designed for thicker racing oils and higher flow rates associated with increased RPM. With a larger surface area and enhanced flow capability, they reduce pressure drop across the filter. The recommended WIX Racing filter (51060R) has no bypass, ensuring 100% of the oil is filtered at all times.

The Oil Filter Adapter Kit includes a conversion base, a threaded filter boss adapter, and your choice of a WIX Racing oil filter. The threaded adapter, featuring a retaining clip, secures it to the conversion base. Once installed, the adapter and base remain on the engine, simplifying oil changes to a quick on/off process.
