About BC Crankshafts:
BC crankshafts are crafted from premium aerospace-grade 4340 steel billet. They are CNC machined on advanced 5-axis Mazak Integrex 300-IV CNC machines to precise tolerances of .0001". Each crankshaft features large radius journals for enhanced rigidity in high horsepower, high boost, and high RPM applications. The gun-drilled, CNC-ground oil holes have smooth surfaces for superior oiling, tear-dropped shapes for added oil scooping, cross-drilled for priority main feeding to the rods, and are micro-polished to a mirror finish for optimal bearing lubrication. All crankshafts undergo stress relief, shot peening, magna flux inspection, and nitriding (a multi-step heat treatment) for maximum performance. The fully profiled counterweights are designed to reduce windage through the crankcase, minimizing oil resistance and improving RPM potential.
About BC Connecting Rods:
BC connecting rods are CNC machined from aerospace-grade 4340 steel billet and come in either the European-influenced H-beam or traditional I-beam design, depending on the application. Each rod features a deep, double-ribbed cap that maintains the big end housing bore's integrity at high RPMs, ensuring uniform bearing crush and optimal clearances for superior oil supply and maximum load capacity. H-beam rods include a deep radial groove pin bushing and oil holes at the 5 and 7 o'clock positions for critical wrist pin lubrication. I-beam rods have an oil hole at the 12 o'clock position to keep the pin end bore true under high boost. They are available with either ARP2000 fasteners, rated at 210,000 psi, or ARP's Custom Age 625+ fasteners, rated at 280,000 psi.
Piston Options:
Choose from top piston brands like CP or JE in any desired bore size and compression ratio. Both brands craft their custom BC stroker pistons from 2618 T6 high tensile strength forged aluminum. These pistons are computer-designed for strength and minimal weight, with each piston diameter CNC machined for optimal accuracy and superior grain flow. Using 3D modeling software and rigorous Finite Element Analysis ensures the pistons are the strongest and lightest possible for your application. These custom pistons offer tighter clearances, reduced noise, better ring seal, and enhanced durability. Standard features include pin fit, carbon steel wrist pins, and spiral locks or rail supports, depending on the application. Optional upgrades include 9310 alloy wrist pins for reduced flex, lateral gas ports for improved ring seal, skirt and top coatings, and a lightweight design.
