By installing a stroker kit, the engine displacement can be expanded, for instance, from 3.8L to 4.1L, which enhances the engine's ability to generate power. This larger displacement allows for a greater fuel/air charge due to the longer stroke, resulting in increased torque, especially in the lower rev range. However, it's important to note that while stroker kits can boost low-end torque, they may hinder the engine's ability to reach high RPMs due to the increased travel of the piston's movement, potentially decreasing overall responsiveness. Ultimately, a stroker crankshaft with longer throws contributes to a larger engine size, enabling it to move more air and, consequently, increase horsepower.
