Evo X Radiator Caps
Back to Cooling
The factory pressure of the Evo X radiator cap is 1.1 bar (~15psi). Higher pressure 1.3 bar (~18psi) caps are widely used with aftermarket radiators such as the Koyorad. 1.5 bar caps are available but generally only used with high HP track cars. Upgrading to a higher pressure cap can raise the boiling point of your coolant. The cap spring opens at the PSI rating of your cap and coolant moves to the overflow tank, returning when the pressure is back to normal. |
