STM Starter for Evo 7/8/9
STM Evo 7/8/9 starters! These units are NOT remanufactured cores, they are built with brand new parts and assembled in the USA! Fits all Evo 7/8/9, but note the signal wire tab is oriented differently between the 7/8 and 9 models, so you may have to bend it to suit. The OEM Mitsubishi starters have been discontinued, so this is our best option!

The STM starter is designed to function exactly like OEM and serve as a direct replacement.
All OEM options are now discontinued for the Evo 7/8/9. We can no longer order them.
We used to offer a remanufactured starter, but they had long wait times. These have a good turn-around, USA made from NEW PARTS - not refreshed from old cores like the others and carry a 1 year warranty!
Starter Specs:
• Voltage: 12
• HP: 1.609
• Power: 1.2 Kilowatts
• Length: 5.217 Inches (132.5 MM)
• Rotation Direction: Clockwise
• Gear OD: 1.102" (28MM)
• Number of teeth on gear: 8
• Weight: 6.06 lbs.
• Each unit is spun before they leave to check for armature balance.

It fits perfectly. The DB Electric (cheaper one) it replaced lasted for 40,000 miles. This one sounded like the stock starter. The DB Electric sounded different.

Replaced my old original starter with this one and it works great. Car starts right up now with with more ease and on the first key .
